The Kama Sutra

A website and online shop for illustrator, Malika Favre

This is a site I made for illustrator, Malika Favre for her Kamasutra exhibition at Pick Me Up 2013.

The exhibition features an elegant and risqué alphabet of sexual positions available as prints to purchase. The site needed to feel equally effortless, while allowing visitors to buy prints directly online.

What resulted was a great collaboration between Malika, myself, Present Perfect and a whole host of great animators.

I prototyped and built the site, working on the design with Malika and Present Perfect. For the technically-minded, the site is fully responsive and was built using Ruby on Rails and hosted on Heroku.

It has been blogged by the likes of The Huffington Post, It's Nice That, Creative Review, FormFiftyFive, Under Consideration, siteInspire and many, many more.

On the day of launch, the site received over 200,000 unique visitors and the prints began selling like hotcakes.

Above is a selection of photography I took at Pick Me Up 2013. There is more on my Flickr.

All illustrated artwork for this project is of course copyright Malika Favre.
